Prantik was established in the year 1998 (October) by its visionary Managing Director, Engr. Md Golam Sarwar (CEng  CMarEng  FIMarEST  FRINA  FCILT  MBA  MSNAME). Embarking on a new city and journey in life upon returning to shore from sailing, complemented by a workshop and a shipyard located in Bhatiyari, Chattogram, with a staff of over a hundred people. Now the group is on the way to building its own jetty & slipway at Ichhanagar, Chattogram named "Prantik Desh Yard & Jetty".
